Most of the vehicles I've seen at the shows, and in the magazines use the GM
van columns. Tilt, no key, you may have to remove the shifter. Good Luck.

Been having a recurring dream of a late-year 4.6 multi-cammer in my =

F-1. I know if I go with these ponies they've got to be fully wired, =
plumbed, computed, air massed, etc. Once I figure how to wrap my wallet =
around the engine, I've got to figure out if it will fit in the F-1 =
engine bay. (The engine, not the wallet.) I prefer to not do a bunch of =
frame chopping and/or firewall/fender/floorboard bashing. Any FTE'er =
measured up this combination up to see if/how well it might fit?

I saw a 51-52 F1 which had a 340 or 360 in it once and it also had
Mopar suspension. It looked good and the guy said it ran great. I was
able to get a picture of it if you are interested.

I went for the TCI coil over shock suspension for my
'53. I bought an Ididit Chrome column, tilt, no shift,
no switch. This is a duplicate of a GM Van column and
has a double 'D' shaft. My mating shaft is double 'D'
to 3/4 - 36 spline. I bought my stuff from Mid-
Fifties in Arizona. Call them, they will even supply
used stuff if you don't have the $$ for Ididit. E-mail
me and I'll give you the phone #.

Can anyone tell me of a good source for headers for the 292? Is this a
worthwhile addition ie. significant, noticeable, horsepower increase? Any
suggestions?

Steve
