Subject: FTE Pre61 - Hubcaps 1960 Mercury

I am posting this for a friend who owns this vehicle. He is trying to get
it registered as a collectors truck but has been turned down because it
doesn't have hubcaps. He has information from somewhere that hubcaps were
an option on this vehicle. Can anyone out there help? Anyone with hubcaps
or proof that it was in fact an option. His truck is in quite good
condition. It has the rap-around rear window which makes it quite distinct.
I don't have any other information at this time.

Greetings, well it took be a few months but i'm back, still hard at work on
my 1953 Ford F100 "Sweet + Low" i will also soon have my web page back up so
i will post with the new address soon.

A couple of months back i was looking for an oil pan for a 351 Cleveland and
someone was kind enough to let me know about
a gentleman in florida who could help me. I lost his number in the
move...So does this post bring anything to memory, It's a rear sump
oil pan so I can use the motor with my mustang II front end. if memory
serves me right, the gentlemans name is george.........any help
will be greatly appreciated, i am also looking for a truck club to join
i am in the Venice, Ca. area......thanks doubledoubledavid

Ted,

I appreciate your interest in the resolve of this darned annoying
problem! I have not had time to do anything about it yet due to
Property Building Inspectors being in my hair at this time in my life!
I have property issues to resolve then I can get back to luxuries of
taking care of my truck. I have clipped all the troubleshooting tips
from the newsgroup that were sent regarding my problem and will review
and try each one that seems plausible. I have already begun to use only
92 octane but have not been on the freeway lately. Will let you know as
soon as I get to it and resolve it!!

Subject: FTE Pre61 - 56 F250 hood

Does anyone know if the hood from a1956 F100 can be used on an F250?
My roommate smacked my F250 up on the freeway, and the hood's history.
Since F250 body parts are so rare, I was hoping maybe an F100 hood
would fit. (rear fenders do, sort of).
The funny thing is that the front grille came out completely unscathed.
(I say "funny" even though I'm still crying)
