He is trying to get it registered as a collectors truck but has been turned down because it doesn't have hubcaps. He has information from somewhere that hubcaps were an option on this vehicle. Can anyone out there help? Anyone with hubcaps or proof that it was in fact an option. His truck is in quite good condition. It has the rap-around rear window which makes it quite distinct. I don't have any other information at this time. Thanks! == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 17:29:40 -0600 From: "David M. I have not had time to do anything about it yet due to Property Building Inspectors being in my hair at this time in my life! I have property issues to resolve then I can get back to luxuries of taking care of my truck. I have clipped all the troubleshooting tips from the newsgroup that were sent regarding my problem and will review and try each one that seems plausible. I have already begun to use only 92 octane but have not been on the freeway lately. Will let you know as soon as I get to it and resolve it!! > > Date: Mon, 26 Jul 1999 20:44:02 -0400 > From: "Ted and Sarah Freeman" > Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - FORD 390 pinging past 55mph > > Tulio, > > Just curious how the troubleshooting is going? > > - -Ted > == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 03:42:49 EDT From: Ennui880 Subject: FTE Pre61 - 56 F250 hood Does anyone know if the hood from a1956 F100 can be used on an F250? My roommate smacked my F250 up on the freeway, and the hood's history. Since F250 body parts are so rare, I was hoping maybe an F100 hood would fit. (rear fenders do, sort of). The funny thing is that the front grille came out completely unscathed. (I say "funny" even though I'm still crying) Steve == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of pre61-list-digest V3 #214 ******************************** +- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - 1948 - 1960 Trucks and vans --------------+ | Send posts to pre61-list....
