Mike and Paul:
Upon closer inspection of my Ford literature (ie, reading the fine
print) I found that hubcaps were an accessory available through Ford
dealers for the F-250 in 1954. So.......

My '52 F-3 had hubcaps on the front but not the rear, with it
being a dually
rear axle The truck has been in my family since it was new and nobody
can
recall that it didn't have hubcaps when it was new. I am also looking
for
hubcaps for my truck because the old ones are beat up pretty bad.

This is for Sean..
The biggest engine that will fit the motor mounts on that 55 F-100 is
the 312 Y-block. There is a Y-block list on onelist.com, I believe.
This may not be want you wanted to hear, but 'tis what we know to be
true.

Sorry, I've been away and I'm reading old mail, but I guess I'm just another
in a long line;

I'd love to see that info on vented brakes. It's too late for the front but
I wonder if this would improve the rear enough to get away with not having
to install power brakes.

My last posted question remains unanswered, which was;
Any hints on changing my single circuit brakes to dual. Kits etc?

Yours, PY

truckers:

I saw a really straight '50? F3 for sale in western Kansas several weeks =
ago. The current owner bought it from an old farmer. It had hubcaps. =
They appeared to be original. The only thing on the truck that may have=
been a later add on was the radio. Slick truck, flat head V8 and four =
speed. 60K. They were asking $4500. It had the pickup long bed and 17"=
tires. Just thought I would share. If anyone is interested I'll get =
a phone number or e-mail address for the folks. Western Kansas trucks =
sometimes have very little rust. It is hot and dry out there.
