I just got a flathead engine yesterday, It came from a ´53 f-100, the code
is CIBA, is this mean that this is a ´51 engine?
Does anyone know what trucks came with the flathead painted white-gray?
What is the difference from a 51 3-speed and a 53´s?

I am using a universal 429/460 mount from Sac. Vintage and 429 motor mounts.
Will stock headers work?

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Fender welting

Truckers,

This may be a stupid question, but what does fender welting do and what does
it look like? I pulled some 1/2" square, dried up rubber off my 57's front
fenders when I took the front cab off. It looked like it was lined up along
the back seam of the fender and another piece along a line that would line up
with the front edge of the cab. Can it be replaced with regular home foam
weather-stripping or is their a particular automotive application? I am about
to put the front cap back on permanently and would love to know.
