Subject: FTE Pre61 - Spare Carrier

I have a 55 F100 that had the side bed mount type for the
spare tire. I "attempted" to place it under the rear of the
bed with a carrier from a 52 F1. However, I quickly found
out that the exhaust pipes interfered with the the mounting
and the position for the tire. It was suggested that a 1962
tire carrier might work. It did (with very slight
modifications to the carrier itself, not the frame). Hope
this helps.
