I used a engine mount from a catalog, bolted it to the frame. I kept the 3sp, if I ever do this again, I would use the automatic, the clutch linkage is a pain. All the mounts (engine and tran.) can be bought aftermarket. You might have to change the driveshaft. I had a two piece in a short box. It worked until I got on it hard, destroyed the center bearing. If its a short box with the auto, a one peice will work better. I received my ford shop manual yesterday and could see from the pictures that what I have is not factory original. The only difference I could find was the placement of the fuel pump and oil filter. On the diagram, the oil filter was in front of the fuel pump and my engine has the fuel pump in the front. I would be willing to swap engines. Could someone give me an estimate on price. The only engineering required is routing the exhaust thru the kitchen wall, this is, of course, only a minor technical glitch to be expected with a non OEM replacement. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Dec 1998 15:34:09 -0500 From: "Howard Tarnoff" Subject: FTE Pre61 - Upper Radiator Pipe I am still looking for the upper radiator pipe (from intake to radiator) for my 55 F100. Someone offered to ship on but we have not received it as of yet. We need this soon to wrap up the detailing project in time for the World of Wheels show in Boston. I don't car about condition, we just need it for the pattern. Netscape through version 3.0 had bugs with the Java implementation. 3.01 (or may its 3.1) corrected those bugs. You'll also find that when you upgrade the web site takes on a whole new look (you're missing alot). == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Dec 1998 18:51:04 -0800 From: "Paul L. When I finally looked at the rearend I realized it was not stock. There is a data plate with the following on it " WDM-AG OHC" on the top line and the bottom line has "3.00 9 314A" can anyone tell me what this means or can anyone point me to how to identify a rearend. Yuk. Not true. The latest release incorporates "smart browsing". This is a feature that is better than any search engine I've seen. Go to a site, click the "what's related" button and it gives you a list of related sites. Of course, to do this, it has to transmit information about the site you're on, but it only does this if you click the button. Smart browsing appeared in version 4.5. 4.0 is still available, as are all other versions. Think of the implications of what you're saying. If it where true, then millions of people with Netscape 4.5 browsers would bog down Netscape's servers completely and the entire net in North America. People visit billions of sites per day, there is no way any company could handle tracking this. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Dec 1998 00:28:34 -0500 From: Ken Payne Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - Chat At 08:28 PM 12/8/98 -0700, you wrote: >As I mentioned earlier, NN 3.0 won't work either. 3.1 fixed some major Java bugs. I think I will upgrade, however I am using 3.01 and continually verify that it doesn't work on my computer. Could it be that I am using a Mac implementation?
