Hi out there,

About a week ago, someone posted a message inquiring about chassis
to cab mounts for a '60 F-100. It seems the mounts on their truck
are deteriorated beyond repair. Having the same problem with my
'59, I've been looking forward to reading posted replys...to date,
there haven't been any.

Can anyone out there be of any help?

Ray, Yes it does , 5th is overdrive, the best part is it still has the 2spd
rear end and I was told that this truck would go right down the road with no
problems.

Ray, my '54 shop manual show 2 5 speeds, one is direct drive, the other
overdrive. The OD transmission, unlike the 3 speed OD, shifts into OD
much like today's 5 speed transmissions. The down side is that both of
these transmissions have really weird shift patterns! The cas loks a lot
like the 3 speed Heavy Duty transmission, but larger.

tags back to '46, Gary Oberbeck says he's got a '47 pickup and a panel
truck and neither has a glove box tag. Has anyone else with a "real
classic" pickup got a ID plate on the glove box door?

The only chrome grill I have seen for our 57s was by mistake in article in
Custom Classic Trucks - August '98 issue on So Cal Pickups on page 16 & 17. In
the top picture on page 17. the 3rd grill from the top looks like the 57!
Their number is 1-800-SOCAL49 (orders) and 714-994-1400 (tech help)

They probably have the bumper too, but I have a catalog from John's F-
Funhundreds that has a good price on front and back chrome bumpers. They also
said they could chrome my grill, but mine looks too far gone. I believe we
have a link on the FTE website.

The registration email problems with the chat have been
corrected. If you've already registered, you'll have to
register again.

If you use AOL, you cannot use the chat at this point.
AOL's browser is brain damaged and will not talk through
ports other than 80 and 8080. The chat client requires use
of ports 3334-3336. Please don't complain to me about it,
it's AOL's fault. I know of no other ISP that has this
problem. I'm working on a telnet version of the chat, but
I cannot promise that it will work with AOL. If it means
alot to you, switch providers.

Also, the chat may or may not function behind a firewall,
depending on whether ports 3334-3336 are filtered out.

Other than the email problems (which have been corrected),
this chat server has been rock solid and will not be
replaced. I have neither the time nor money to invest in
another server. I've already spent nearly 40 hours in
the last month on the chat problems.

If your browser doesn't work, try upgrading it to the
latest version since the upgrades for Netscape and
Internet Explorer are free. I cannot solve browser Java
implementation problems. Numerous bugs exist in earlier
implementations of Java that have been corrected.

I've talked to many people, both chat server admins and
the chat users on their systems, about this server and
99% of the responses were positive.

The block on my 292 is blown. I have found a good '67 390. What unusual
problems would I encounter besides engine mounts? Clearances and
transmission mating are my concerns. The 390 comes with an automatic
