Stauffer" Subject: FTE Pre61 - panel truck seats Ford Friends, A computer illiterate friend of mine has a 55 panel truck. He is looking for the original style seats. Are they hard to find? How much should he expect to pay? Did all panel trucks 53-56 come with 2 seats or did only the deluxe/custom cabs come with the passenger seat? And how are they different from the pickup bench seat, besides being made for one!? Thanks, Abe '54 F-100 (with the original bench seat, ha-ha!) == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 18:11:56 -0500 From: Ken Payne Subject: FTE Pre61 - ADMIN: Web site updates 1. We ran out and had order more. We received them on Thursday and the printing was bad (one color was offset). Our supplier, Jim Osborn Reproductions (same supplier as our books and decals) believes in top-notch quality and took them back, no questions asked. They're going back to press and should be shipping by the end next week. We apologize for the delay and wanted everyone to know that we don't cash checks or charge cards until the product ships. Works great on acc. but when engine is running....everything but the oil is creeping into the speakers. Have original wires (copper). Looking for 8 suppressors, old type, that clipped on the sparkplugs. Any help on a supplier or willing to purchase, if you have them. My ears thank you very much. ciao, bill batte == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 21:27:19 -0500 From: "C. Sometimes can solve this problem by slipping in a resistance type wire from the the coil to the distributor, its not real noticable but can quite down a lot of noise. Also, make real sure there is a good, wired, ground between the battery, the frame, and cab. These two things can help noise a whole lot. (PS: Resistor plugs work better than the in line wire jobbies, they are pretty much the same thing) 47Fred == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of pre61-list-digest V3 #90 ******************************* +- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - 1948 - 1960 Trucks and vans --------------+ | Send posts to pre61-list To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
