Has anyone replaced the standard shock on a 57 - 60 F100 with a shock =
that has a coil spring around it??? Do these offer any real performance =
differences or are the just for looks??

I am F-Series fan. I am in the process of customizing a '48 Ford F-3.
When I'm done it will have a 351W and 1/2 ton F-1 suspension under it.
