I'd take the core to a fleet farm or similar, and look. It was a direct bolt up and the piston throw was exact. Sorry I can't be of any future help Rich 54 F100 == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 20 Feb 1999 14:00:14 -0800 (PST) From: Scott Subject: FTE Pre61 - truck identity I was sent a pic of an old bread truck by a guy and he thinks that it is around a 1956 truck. I took a look at the pic and think that it might not be a Ford. If anyone would like to take a look at it they can, it's at: http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.oldtrucks.com/readers/tastee.gif If anyone does know what it is then please e-mail me off the list. All 60+ megabytes of archives are searchable. Due to the nature of searching, the archive results are email address "harvester" resistant. You can only browse the archives with search terms and harvesters are not smart enough to do that. Enjoy! I am looking for advice / opinions on whether it would be better to put the engine/trans/etc. in my '54 or swap my '54 body on to the '56 frame. Any ideas? Both frames and springs are in about the same condition. The body on the '56 is totally shot, but I will end up with a batch of extra parts because I will strip any usable parts off the truck. The doors and dash are about the only usable body parts but guage cluster, wiper motor, etc are all good. E-mail me with your needs and I'll let anything I can't use go for cheap! For shipping cost ideas, I am in Santa Cruz,CA Hopefully it will be in my garage by the middle of the week!
