Subject: FTE Pre61 - Inside Fender Treatment

I am currently working on my 55 F250 front outer fenders. I have both
stripped of pant on the outer side of the fender. The under side has
some sort of of under coating or primer coat that is difficult to remove
using a sand blasting unit. Is there any other way to remove this
coating of under coating or can I prime over it with a product like
POR15 or other "rust stopping" product?

P.S. I caught the Truck program this weekend on installing a new Oak
Bed in a Ford truck. Did anyone get the name of the company that they
got the oak bed from?

Has anyone purchased and installed the door window anti-rattler kits
from Dennis Carpenter or other supplier ? I am finishing the work on my
47 and am wondering if this would be money well spent.

I used the anti-rattlers on my 54, easy to install and well worth the money,
I think.

I've looked at the kits, and was seriously going about getting a
set, but then I was lucky enough the find a pair of doors that had a
righteous set of original anti-rattler in place. The need for a kit
depends on 1: how you feel about noise drafts and appearance, and 2, the
present condition of your doors.
Most doors I've looked badly needed a set, and soon.

I missed the show,but I bought the bed for my 48 F-3 from Bruce Horkey.It was
a perfect fit and they know truck beds.

I've used 2 sets of the carpenter units and they are superior in that they are prefabbed with the brackets in place. Perfect fit. I also used their vent window rubber. Also perfect
