Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with any particular brands. ????? Any recommendations on the other window hardware... all mine needs replacing. So where did you get regulators, vent window stuff etc ????? I am converting to 12V and will make up a 6V circuit to run the gauges. Probably use a zener an series transistor regulator to drop to 6V. But I need to know current requirements ect. I'll post a simple schematic of a turn signal setup for use with stock parking , and brake lamps. I need to get it scanned in first. I bought the window felt, rails, and divider from Sacramento Vintage Ford. Good quality and fit is good. My only complaint is no instructions. They also have the vent window hardware and sell the power window units from Specialty. I'm just installing the power windows so I can't speak from experience yet. The good is that the instructions are complete, they also provide a video, and the windows are cable driven. I understand that some of the kits have a tape driven setup that can break. May have at least one installed this weekend, if I do I'll let you know how it goes. Hello List: This is my first post, so please forgive me if this question has previously been answered. Which V8 (Ford 289/302/351, Chevy 350, ??) will drop with the least modification/relocation of parts into a 53 Ford F100. The truck has a straight axle and stock suspension. I've heard that the Chevy 350 fits within the stock suspension, but that a Ford Windsor will require modifying the suspension (moving to IFS?). Is this true? If anyone out there has a 53-56 straight axle F100 and has dropped a V8 (Ford or Chevy) into it, I'd love to hear from you. Any advice? Warnings? Many thanks in advance. Subject: FTE Pre61 - holley carb List: I received a NOS Hollley carb as a gift. It looks like a 4000 "Teapot" but it isn't, since it has only 2 barrels. On the tag it reads ECR 9510-E On the lower edge it reads LIST 1125-1 It is said to be from a 50's truck. Any info you can provide me on this carb would be greatly appreciated: engine/s, cfm, etc. Mario. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Apr 1999 14:26:01 EDT From: STUDJAMES Subject: FTE Pre61 - Re: Toyota Power steering setup Converting stock Y-block to Toyota PS setup. Any advice? > Warnings? > The answer is anything you want. Most after market books sell mounts. I put a 390, 3speed in my 61. You have to play with height of the motor, driveline, clutch linkage, throttle linkage, etc. Take your time putting it in, I seen all sorts of things done. I would keep it all ford. (We don't use the "c" word here) some people get upset. They are out of Ballston Spa, NY. Their number is 518-884-2825. They have been very helpful in supplying all my front end and engine parts. I have also had good luck with timely shipping with them too. I would say their service is excellent. Call them and get a catalog.
