I`ll bet that the guy sold you a set for the long wheelbase F100 or a
F250. These trucks were 8" longer in wheelbase. Garry

Hi

want to put an Electronic (pointless) ignition in my 56 223cid 6cyl - the
Pertronix ones don't fit in these engines - does anyone else make something
suitable??

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Proportioning Valve

I have a 55 F100 with a 70/71 T Bird clip on the front. That means Disc
brake front and drum back. I've installed a adjustable proportioning valve
for the back brakes.

My question is, does anyone know if I can get rid of the
metering/proportioning valve that came with the clip and just use the
adjustable valve I installed? The valve I'm talking about is the one that
acts as junction between the lines from the master cylinder and the front
and back brake lines.

I put a Volarie front clip under my 59 and used a mastercylinder from a 92
Ranger it has the prop. valve built into it. But in your case I'd use an
ajustable valve and elliminate the one from the Bird Don't try to use both
they will only confuse each other

You use the same brake fluid that you use in your master cylinder. Obsolete
Ford Parts has repair parts in their catalog (405-631-3933). On the repair
manual for my 57 I found a "used shop manual dealer" at an automotive swapmeet
and bought an original 42 year old 57 Ford shop manual for $40 and it has

I am in the process of installing a mustang II front end in my 53 Ford
F100 pickup, Today i was told with my 351 Cleveland motor I will need To
get a Rearsump oil pan, the only place i can locate one is Milodon and
they want $400.00 for the pan only.... as anybody had this problem and
is there other way???? thanks dddavid

Try Sacramento Vintage for the hydraulic clutch. They have the clutch cylinder
and the slave cylinder for your truck. They also have the repair kits too.
Their number is (916)489-3444 or toll free 1-888-FORD-100. I checked my
catalog and the price is $75 for the new clutch cylinder(part # 7623) and the
slave cylinder is $35(part # 7623-2).
