If you are talking about the 55 rams horn chrome pieces, I belive Drake or Dennis Carpenter makes a after market replacement. Check the Classic trucks mag and they usually show an add for the chrome pieces. I got the rams horns for my 55 and they were a very good reproduction. I would like to see how much it would cost for some wheel cylinders for a '49 F1. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Nov 1998 00:39:52 -0500 From: Ruth Ann Clark Subject: FTE Pre61 - Merc' Trucks Someone asked about Mercs. I was born and raised in Canada and now live = in Seattle , so here's my input on the M-100's. A Merc truck is a Ford ina= tux from north of the 49th (Canada eh?) I am now putting Merc Chrome on= my '56 Panel. I have had this chrome stored in my attic for 24 years, since I took it off a wrecked 56 Merc in a farmer's field outside of Edmonton , Alberta , Canada.. When I took the two chrome pieces off of t= he rear doors, the pressed in FORD was under that Chrome. The hood has no front emblem, but has the MERCURY letters just like the cars on the front= of the hood. I saw a '55 Merc and it had a larger star and additional chrome on the lower bar of the front grille. I have heard of a truck par= ts reproducer in Calgary, Alberta , Canada that does the reproduction chrome= for old Merc trucks. The Panel Merc's had the V8 designation in the rear= door chrome and with only about 150 of the v8 models made each year , it = is a rare piece. I am also painting up a Ford hood for my panel so that could be an easy swap. Dan the Merc' Man. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Nov 1998 21:46:51 -0700 From: "Ray Cardogno" Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - Used Auto Parts On-line - -- On Tue, 24 Nov 1998 18:42:05 FLamca9978 wrote: >I have not tried the address.
