These had a combination breather/oil fill tube at the back of the engine, and nothing at the front. Did anybody use a wood sealer first? I've heard that this should be used before finishing. If so what kind? How long after sealing can you put on the finish? I greatly appreciate all the experienced advice. The Mercury trucks were only = made in Canada, there's chrome Mercury letters on the front of hood, = Mercury M100 side emblems, Mercury horn button, and Mercury tailgate, also = there are Mercury taillight lenses there the shield style with raised = Mercury letters on them. Also the VIN tag has on it Ford Motor Company of = Canada and none of the vin codes match any of the Ford books as far as = breakdown. I have a 56M100 that I'm contemplating selling. I have = located another one in Canada that I may purchase. 56Merc from the chat room. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Nov 1998 14:06:46 -0800 (PST) From: Dan Lee Subject: FTE Pre61 - Used Auto Parts On-line I recently found a web site www.autop.com, which allows you to input a part description and forwards your request to dozens of salvage yards across the country. They respond by e-mail. That sure beats trecking from yard to yard looking for hard to find parts. I just entered two requests, I'm anxious to see if I get any response. Has anyone tried this or another service like this?
