Subject: FTE Pre61 - Tailgate

My '56 tailgate is rust free, but drilled for plates and well used for
42 years. It has a bow from edge to center of about an inch from side to
side including the top roll, and top to bottom to a lesser degree. Sort
of convex. The vertical bars on either side appear to be straight wile
the rest is pushed out.

Is there a body man out there that can tell me if it's possible to
straighten this?
And, how?
Or would it be easier to find another gate?

I was going to memtion this the other day when the post about the big back
window first appeared, but for some reason never did. Sacramento Ford not only
sells the big back window, but also sell a fiberglass rear cab section so you
can retrofit a small window cab with the big window.

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Frame Color on 57 F100

I'm getting ready to paint my 57 F100 custom cab and am aiming to match the
original look. I haven't been able to figure out what color the frame ends
should be from where they come out of the front of the cab to the front
bumper. I have the standard front bumper.

Should the frame that shows be black or the color of the body (Starmist Blue
in this case)?
