another tip - before you reinstall the door handles, grind a flat spot
on the handle(s) where the spring clip groove is so that you can remove
the clip with a spring hook next tme (there ALWAYS is a next time!) -

Ken and all members,

I guess I'm one of the guilty ones. I voted the first time, saw that the
numbers had incremented and went on my merry way. The next day I saw that
it would allow me to vote again and I thought that maybe my 1st vote wasnt
counted so guess what? I dont know an IP from a cookie but this isnt the
forum to find out.

I've used a long-reach engine hoist to lift off the bed on my '60. I used
2" wide nylon tow straps around the bed near the front and rear. I don't
know how much yours weighs, but mine was about 450 lb.

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Steering?

Sacramento Vintage Ford has two options for power steering one is a complete
ad on that uses the old steering box. The other converts over to a 70's to
early 80's GM car steering box.

I am considering the same thing but am most likely going to go with a Dodge
Dakota insert to resolve the problem.

What would be a good way to get power steering ? Would it be
possible to
use
steering linkage and power gear box from a 70's truck? Has anyone
used and liked
some the kits available?
