Hey Everybody,
I was passing charlotte motor speedway yesterday and saw a 55
Firetruck, I'm not sure what F-?. Its in pretty good shape and for
sale so if anybody wants me to get the number for them let me know.
Wouldn't that be interesting to see at the supernationals some year?

Bill

Speaking of fire trucks I was at an auction this morning and they auctioned off a 54 F-600 fire truck with 9K orig miles for $2700. I was hoping there was not going to be much interest but alas...

Dear John

Just couldn't resist writing dear John. The door handle has a hidden horse
shoe clip behind the handle that rest in a slot on the shaft of the window
regulator to keep the handle from comming off. There are two types of special
tools that can be used to remove it. Both types can be found at any auto parts
store. One tool works like a pair of pliers, and is flat, and very thin on the
end so it can fit behind the door handle, the idea is to reach behind the door
handle and grasp the clip with the plier type tool and pull the clip loose.
The other type tool is a flat thin piece of steel with the working end bent at
an angle so you can push the clip out. If you have never removed a handle
before it will take a little practice, so keep trying. If you use the plier
type tool, you will grasp the clip from behind the handle where it attaches to
the shaft at a 180 degrees from the black knob that you hold to crank the
window with, the push type tool is used on the oppisite side and you simple
push the clip out. I am sure this is as clear as mud, but I do not know any
other way to say it.

Michelle
