I haven't taken the time to figure out what engine my f-250 has. (All my time and money goes into the f-100) The engine has 8cyl, it is red, it runs and the valve covers are black with no visible markings with two bolts through the center of each cover to hold them down. If this is what you are looking for then let me know. The f-250 also has a horn button that works which you may be able to use. I don't know if it is original or not though. It is all silver with a large cog in the center with a lightning bolt through it. (Help anyone?) My '55 f-100 has a '53 horn button so I don't have a '55 to check it against. Let me know if you can use it. C. Sterling I can't speak about the door hinge pins because I've never dealt with em, but I've done the steering column a million times--it's a pretty involved thing. The steering column is inseperable from the steering gear box. To remove it you have to take off the pittman arm and the 3 bolts that hold the gear box to the frame. Inside the truck you have to unbolt the column from the dash, and remove the part of the floor board around the column. From there you can either pull the whole thing up through the floor or drop it down through the floor. ~Dan 1950 F1 351C-2v 1992 Mustang Hit my F1 page at http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/3623 == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of pre61-list-digest V2 #293 ******************************** +- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - 1960 and Older trucks and vans -----------+ | Send posts to pre61-list To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
