I think they may be located in Nevada. Give them the serial number and they trace it from manufacture through ownership. Can you point me in the right direction. I recently ordered custom wheels from Wheels Vintiques in Fresno Calif. I wanted the modified stock look. They offset 15x8's but had to use International centers on the from due to having a Volare' clip. I ordered them Monday and they arrived Thursday, better than promised. The offset worked great the look is perfect and I could be happier. When you need wheels try them. I got rid of the complete original seats after trying to give them away for a year. The material was all vinyl, 2 tone, with the upper, darker section a burgundy or dark brown, with a beige-ish contrasting color below. I have seen a detailed description of the material in one of the many F100 books around the house...I'll try to get the info for you. Can you find or was there a 55 F100 Spec booklet printed. It would show the design. I could sure use some similiar material on my 56, and I do have a sketch for the design, just not the dimensions. I need some expert advice from someone that can tell me if rotors from a late 70s Granada/Monarch will fit onto the 77 Mustang II spindles. I haven't purchased the rotors yet and can't just try them. If these rotors will not fit onto the MII spindles, what will fit? If Granada/Monarch rotors will fit and I assume they have a larger diameter (4 1/2" bolt pattern), what do I use for calipers? I have removed the MII caliper brackets in anticipation of installing larger sized rotors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =================================== Randall Colgan, 1952 F-1 Shaunavon, Saskatchewan =================================== == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Oct 1998 20:46:53 -0000 From: "KEVIN R COUGHLIN" Subject: RE: FTE Pre61 - Mustang II Spindles Randall, Double check the information I give you cause it has been several years since I put the Mustang II IFS in my 54. I do believe I used the Granada rotors but I bought a kit that let me install GM calipers, off a Camaro. The setup works good. The kit came with the mounting brackets and a new set of brake shoes, the shoes have a shim attached to the back for spacing reasons which kind of threw me but they fit and work fine. Good luck. I can't remember where I got the brake kit but I used a Fatman IFS kit. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Oct 1998 19:09:37 -0700 From: "cc" Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - Seats Byron, I recently completed the restoration on a '56 Custom Cab with the 8' bed. My Uncle was doing most of the work with me and he was able to find an old ford dealership in Virginia that still had a small roll of the original material. We even tore off the recovered material and confirmed that this was the original material since I was going for the complete restoration since my father had purchased this truck new in '55 and had keep it ever since. One day I hope to get a couple of pictures of it posted on the Internet.
