Stauffer" Subject: FTE Pre61 - inner rear cab corners Folks, I need some help, My '54 is in the body shop, partially disassembled. The body man asked if anyone makes an inner rear cab corner. (I have the rear cab corners). He says they would be tough to fabricate. Mid-Fifty has such a piece in their catalogue but they won't be ready for another 2-3 months. Does anyone know of a place that sells an inner rear cab corner? Or would it be possible to cut this piece out of the cab of a doner in a junk yard (if theirs is not rusted out)? Thanks, Abe '54 F-100 == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Aug 1998 08:09:53 -0700 From: Marilyn Boese Subject: FTE Pre61 - Pre 61 ignition This is response to Dan Lee and Gary Vandergrift re: ignition improvements available. Mallory makes an electronic ignition for flathead Ford that is marketed by Patrick in AZ. I have used these and also found an alternative. The Mallory has no vacuum advance and you lose 3-4 mpg. Jerry Jobe in SoCal has designed an electronic ignition that retains vacuum advance and gas mileage. Ph 714-637-0733, fax 714-637-2120. We have one on our 64 Country Squire swgn, works fine. They work on 49-up Ford fh, Y-Block and FE, any 12V negative ground system. If you have 12V positive ground, you need an additional part, which I can supply.
