Has anyone ever been able to find a bedliner for their truck? You'd think that a standard bed like a 4'x6.5' would be easy to find a liner for, but so far I have had no luck. I don't want to go with those spray on kind since I don't want to hide my wood floor for the occasional showing. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Aug 1998 12:53:13 -0400 From: "John Miller" Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - '51 F5 Radio I think I saw the very thing you are looking for at Ebay.com being auctioned off, I know, I know I should have immediately posted it but it wasn't but just a couple of days ago so I think it should still be there. I used they're search and punched in "ford trucks" and they have a mess of stuff, mostly toys etc. but some other "real" stuff. check it out John Miller, FoMoCoNUT 96 F-350 Reg Cab XLT, 4x4, 460 w/ A4OD, My Baby "Baloo" 75 F-100 Reg Cab Ranger, 2wd, 360, C6, Daily Driver "Lucy" and "always" looking ! ! ! == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Aug 1998 10:06:00 -0700 From: JD Hollingsworth Jr Subject: FTE Pre61 - Radio source Hi Group, Some members were asking about where they could find a radio for their trucks. Too late. I used a set of Sanderson headers on my '50 with the stock front end / steering setup and I am very happy with them. The mounting flange is a nice, thick 3/8 plate and overall construction is quite nice. I, too, had to dimple the driver's side just a bit for clearance with the steering box but it wasn't too much of a problem. I also am using Smithy flathead pipes and I have to admit - they sound very nice - even to an untrained young ear like I have. p.s. People, when informing us about the treasures you have found in junkyards, etc, could you please at least tell us the area of the country you're in (so I don't have to get my hopes up for nothing)! It should say C600 on the hood. Where are you located. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! It's Bob's Radio Restorations. He appears to have a '51 Ford radio for $495, but lots of other years cheaper, under header "For Sale". Good luck. When applying the pedal, there is no grab for a few seconds though the pedal feels firm. Suddenly the left front starts to grab and lock up the wheel. Originally, I had problems with the brakes binding and replaced all wheel cylinders and rebuilt the master cylinder as there was corrosion in all cylinders. I also cleaned and lubed everything. Also adjusted the brakes several times. This took care of the binding but not the dead feel. I've done lots of Ford brake jobs in my time and don't see anything out of the ordinary with this setup. No hot spots in the drums and the shoes don't look glazed or soaked with fluid. My previous ride was a '66 F100 with a manual brake setup that stopped about a million times better than this. I would appreciate any feedback or ideas.
