Hi,

Just wondering, I have a 49' F2, I want to convert it into a extra cab. Does
anyone
have any info on this? Has anyone ever swapped frames, I was think of a later
model frame for this body, What frame would fit? Any info I will be VERY
greatful.

Subject: FTE Pre61 - 56 F-600 Cabover

I was down at a junkyard to get parts off a 52 F5, and I noticed they
had recently brought in a 1956 F-600 (I believe) cab over. I didn't
really pay much attention to it and, for all I know, no one else will
either. I just wanted to mention it incase anyone wanted me to check
out anything for them the next time I'm out there.
They are really ugly! Oops...I better hush...the last time I used that
word about a 57 I got busted.

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Rear ends

I was told 57 through 72 rears bolt right in (same spring perches). I
know this is true on a 72, since I put one in my panel. The shock mount
was wrong on the 72, so I just homeboyed (is that a word?) it and
crossed my original shock mounts and U bolted them onto the 72 axle
tube. Not pretty, but I don't have access to a welder.

RIX56 mentioned that a 66 F-100 rear end bolted right into his 56, any idea
if it would bolt into a 53 the same way? Thanks in advance for any help.
