I had been considering this for several months and recently there was an article on how to do it on a "mid-70's Ch*vy, but that ain't a mid-50's Ford. Has anyone ever done this? What types of problems did you have ? Any problem with warping of sheet metal ? After a while did you develop any leaks, squeaks,or weakness in the panels ? Generally the question I'm asking is "Do I know what I'm about to undertake ???" It looks reasonably straight forward in the article, but hey, I saw a transmission changeout in a late model Blazer on TV Saturday in about 20 minutes (including commercials !!! ). Your comments please ??? == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Jun 1998 18:01:24 -0500 From: Ray Cardogno Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - custom body work > > Still working on that '53 f-100...doing the body work and engine work > now > > My questions to this amazing store of knowledge" > > Has anyone any experience in removing drip rails. One other question, I am restoring my 52 F-3 Marmon-Herrington 4x4 and need to replace the windows and seals. Is it cheaper and eaiser to go to a local winshield place or buy them thru the aftermarket catalogs? I would appreciate any inputs.
