Hi, I have a 56 F100 Pickup that I bought about 2 years ago and have
been restoring it. When I bought the truck it didn't have a title, and
I was wondering what is the best way to get a new one. I've seen adds
in magazines, and was wondering if anyone has used a certain company or
got a title a different way. Thanks.

Bill, The way to get a rebuild title in KY. is to take your receipts and some
pictures if you have any and go to the county clerk and apply for a rebuild
title. I would check in your area with the county clerk to see what is
involved .

- -Couple of items added to "New, Info and Member Contributions" page. Click
"Misc" button on main page to get there.

- -4 pictures added to pictorial.

- -Pigeon Forge F100 Supernationals photos are up!

- -Links section expanded. Misc. vehicle site section has been revamped with
an index.

- -It looks like the vote for the Performance group is going to pass (92%
in favor. Two more days left to vote. Go to the main web page to
find the voting link. I've already set it up and will be working
with list member Keith Srb (he's volunteered to administer it) for about
a week before it goes live.

My "to do" list is steadily get smaller. Anyone waiting on things
(such as the free web space), please be patient, I haven't forgetten!
I really do have a written "to do list!"

Subject: FTE Pre61 - Value of '48 F-1 ?

Hi, folks:

I'm a newcomer to this list, and I'm really enjoying it. Briefly, my
credentials: I'm a mechanical engineer, a Ford guy, my daily driver is a
'97 F250HD 4x4, and I'm a staunch regular over on the Antique Tractor
mailing list. I own, among others, a '48 Ford 8N tractor.

Now, to my question. My wife recently ran across a '48 F-1, and took a
real liking to it. From outward appearances, it appears to be in real good
shape. I believe it is in original condition. We are sincerely interested
in purchasing it, but have no idea:

(a) what to look for, and what to look out for;
(b) how much it is worth

I'm hoping you folks might help me out with (a) and then I'll go look
closely at it and get back to you with an assement of condition and we can
move on to (b). Remember, I am not a beginner - I have a very solid
mechanical background.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
