I hope someone got hold of a pair for you while they were there. I didn't have access to a computor or I'd checked them out for you, but I saw both the visors and the cab-over running boards. In a message dated 98-05-16 19:56:06 EDT, you write: box. will it fit 53-56. >> Well, sir, I don't believe it will fit. My 1948-1956 Parts and Accessories Illustrated Catalog and Text Catalog show different part numbers for the 48-52 shaft and worm assembly (7HC 3524), the 53-55 (TAAA 3524-A) and 56 (B6C 3524-A). Similar the Steering Sector, ' cept the 53-56 are the same. The shaft and worm assembly have different lengths to go with their different part numbers. I can't tell what the sector differences are. I'm confused about the housing tho, cause the books list a part number for the 53-56 (TAAA 3548-A) but not for the 48-52. That said, I sure could use a tight box to fit in my 51, and I'm virtually certain that the 51-52 are the same. If you're getting rid of the truck and might pull the gearbox and shaft/column, I'd be interested. And particularly the steering wheel and horn parts. My truck has a '50 car wheel on it. = Ford Truck Enthusiasts ============================================== Send posts to: pre61-list Send unsubscribe requests to: majordomo "unsubscribe pre61-list" in the message body. ======================================================================= ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 May 1998 23:12:47 -0400 From: "Don & Teresa Neighbors" Subject: FTE Pre61 - Pigeon Forge Hey, Y'all! It was wall-to-wall Ford trucks in Pigeon Forge this weekend! I only made one day of the show, but I had more fun than is allowed by law! I climbed into the bed of Ken Lafoon's truck and took a BUNCH of pictures of the parade. Imagine three lanes of Ford trucks stretched out as far as the eye can see! I am NOT making this up! Gotta get Grover to the show next year...
