Subject: FTE Pre61 - 1955 Grille Support

I own a '55 F100 that's missing the support bracket that attaches to the stone
shield & grille, then supports the V8 emblem. Anyone know where I can find
one? An option is to make a steel bracket to attach to the grille mounting
holes to support the V8 emblem. Can anyone provide the distance between the
the top hole in the grille & the bottom hole for the emblem? Any suggestions
on who to buy the emblem from? Ray Helger didn't have one for a '55.

I'm new to the list & think it's terrific. Thanks for all of your advice.

Dear Ray,
My personal truck is a 56 F100 big window, however my husband has a 55 F600,
and a 56 F600. We had a 56 cabover, but got rid of it last year. However we
would like to find another one if we can find a good one. So if you know of
one please do e-mail me. As for the "Chell's 56 Hauler" that is on my tail
gate.

I found a grille support today, along with a new "V8" grille ornament. We've
got a great place here in the Denver area...nice people, too. I know they
attended the recent Carlisle show. They have used & repro. parts for 1932-70

Hubby sounds like my kind of guy as far as his trucks go. Does he use them all?

A guy I know in Worcester MA has a solid retired fire truck Cabover with
low miles for sale. Asking $4000

Yes we are haveing a great time, in fact we just got in from watching the
cruising, it's 1:30 in the morning and we have been going since 8:00 am this
morning. Yes there is many vendors for the visors and running boards you are
looking for. Please respond privately and if you like I can look for what you
need specificly and call you, help in anyway I can. We really wish everyone
could be here. We have been getting photos of course, Ken is going to make a
special page to show them. We have met alot of nice people, introduced many to
our fine "club" and have been discussing creating more oppurtunitys for us to
get together. Gang there really is some outstanding trucks here. Well I am
worn out and the day starts really early, more later...
