How and what does this identify information about the >transmission? probably a casting date and location > How can you tell the difference between a C-4 and a C-6? i can tell by looking at them but i know this does not necessarily help a novice. the c-6 is huge compared to the c-4. the c-6 should also have a id tag affixed to the servo cover bolt. prefixes on older( 60's and probably 70's) c-6 should say PDD, PGA, PGB with a hyphen and any one of a number of additional letters behind it, ie; PDD-P, PGA-C, etc. i am not familiar with newer trannies as i don't deal with them. hope this helps.
