My 55 is a 317 Y Block. There should be a pair of the brackets mounted on the top of the right hand inner fender well. If they look like they can be bead blasted and cleaned to perfection please scarf them up for me. Happy hunting. I need a box for my '47 and I can find '48's and up but none for my year. + >> Not sure about the earlier ones, but the 48 - 50 are different from the 51-52. Actually they changed in mid 50 sometime. The 48-50 have the embossed panels on the sides, the 51-52 are flat. Tailgates and their chains also changed, but I can't remember when off the top of my head. A pricelist I have lists 42-47 rear fenders separately from the 48 - 50, and from 51-52. 'Nother catalog lists box sides from 32-50 together, front panels from 42-50 together. Keep looking for definitive info on whether 42-47 are the same as 48 -50, but they're NOT the same as 51-52. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jan 1998 19:14:46 -0500 From: "Paul G." Subject: www.hood.ornament We should find a suitable hood ornament from an existing vehicle, and therefore have an official ford-trucks.com hood ornament. With a radar detector built in.
