Escentially I want the IFS, disk brakes and steering system (front axle is gone). I've been told that a volaire clip works good. I know mustang ii would also work. However, I want something with more beef. The motor I want to put in it is a 350 Vortec with EFI and overdrive tranny. I hear the mustang ii rack wears out prematurely with all that weight. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might work best?? The rack won't wear out because it only turns the wheels. If you put on a clip you have a better chance of messing up the alignment and you have to cut and weld the frame. I have heard that front clips are illegal in British Columbia. So you wouldn't be able to drive it there with out caution. Your truck with the 350 is lighter than the mustang front end because you have to cut the springs to get the proper ride hight you want. There is an article at http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.classic truckshop. com/ about clips vs the mustang ifs. Hope this helps.
