Somehow or another I can't help but find it very amusing to know that the dreaded Apen/Volare twins of the '70's are worth more now for their front clips than the entire cars are worh! If I ever perform the conversion on my truck, I'll be sure to purposely seek out a Volare based Road Runner for the parts! A question, though: How does this modification affect your ability to carry half a barn of hay in the back? I've seen a number of suspension modification kits since I got into the hobby this year, but while many of them promise improved handling and lower ride, not a one says anything about maintaining the truck's 1/2 ton capacity. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to be able to knock a couple of inches off Grover's altitude, but I don't want to lose hauling capacity. I have a 3/4 ton truck, so my question may be moot, anyway! Off to work for me!
