It worked OK for me... Or get some custom made. Wheelskins will do it. I ordered one from DC Car Care (http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.dccarcare.com/) for my 1935 pickup. I would imagine that any Wheelskin dealer could order a custom size, but a smaller deal might be more willing (Don Mallinson, proprietor of DC Car Care, is a frequent contributor to the Taurus SHO e-mail list where I first 'met' him). Of course the custom size isn't returnable, so measure carefully. You should measure the circumference all the way around the wheel, not just the diameter. Also measure the circumference around the rim. This wire feeds power to your truck. Run 2 wires from ampmeter to brake this wire so as to put the meter in line . Meaning power goes thru the meter to feed truck . ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian To: Sent: Wednesday, May 03, 2000 12:06 AM Subject: [pre61-list] Ammeter Question > Well, hopefully someone on this list can answer this question for me. I bought one at Carlisle last week out of a $1 box - fits my big ol' '51 wheel just fine. I'd try JCWhitney, then look at the Mfr info on a cover in a parts store, and call them up. ------------------------------ From: "Carver" Subject: '61 Econoline Pickup FS Sacramento Area Date: Sat, 6 May 2000 20:41:29 -0700 I've seen it a few times before for sale, but this time the house is also up for sale, so I think they are serious about selling it. It's been under the carport or in the garage for a few years. It has the original paint, faded and a few dents, but it looks to be in good shape. I stopped and got the phone number, but the sign didn't have the price. '61 Econoline Pickup, 530-477-0666 I could easily be persuaded to go and check it out! It's located in Grass Valley, about 30 miles east of Sacramento. Jeff '64 F100 CrewCab ------------------------------ End of pre61-list Digest V2000 #72....
