So, I have a question. I have a 1950 F-2, all original, with good metal, But the original paint has faded to the point where there is now a light coat of rust over the entire body. What is the best way to kill the rust? Sandblasting is not an option, so I would like to sand and then use something to kill the rust before painting. Any ideas, anyone. My question..... can the window stuff be installed and then taken out to paint then reinstalled after paint without screwing it up... ???? the original was all but gone, so I didn't get to take it out and I'm not sure about this procedure. help ??? Also, If any of you guys have installed the LectraGlide II power window units and have any advice, direction, comments or warnings...I'd appreciate hearing them. One post to our group is better than a book full of instructions that have converted from Japanese to english You can reply direct to jniolon thanks in advance... F-2 thru F-6's shared front fenders and had wider wheel openings. F-2&3's rear fenders were also narrower than the F-1. F-7 thru F8s had all around bigger fenders that were wider with larger wheel openings. I hope this helps. By the way how much would you want for the fenders you have. I have a '49 F-2. I am trying to adapt this to my 52 F4. Is this possible or am I wasting my time? Where can I find a 5 wire unit that would fit my truck? many thanks, Nick. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Mar 2000 23:23:22 -0500 From: Ken Payne Subject: Annual Pigeon Forge Supernationals Ford Truck Enthusiasts makes an annual trek to the F100 Supernationals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This is the largest 48-79 Ford truck show in the world. Each year, list members and web site visitors meet there. This year, the non-profit Association of Ford Truck Enthusiasts will be meeting there. AFTE has several things planned, such as a breakfast and picnic. One of the members, Gary, asked me about a month ago to announce the event to the lists but it got misplaced in my to-do list. If you're interested in attending this event, there is a forum on the web site site message boards (events forum). ------------------------------ End of pre61-list Digest V2000 #61 ********************************** ---------------------------------------------------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts 1948-1960 Truck List Send posts to pre61-list If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing....
