Where can i find my VIN number on my 1954 F100 - i have been told its in the glove box door for starters but there is no plate there, would it be on the frame, or some other location as well?

I have it registered and so did the previous owner but i have to go thru aircar and they will not let me thru for the test without this ID number on the vehicle.

Shawn:

I'm looking at the Ford Pickup Red Book at 1954 trucks
and it says to look at the rating plate, which is
attached to the rear face of the driver's door. Other
than that location look under the hood on the fire
wall or other places there.

Thomas, try ebay for plates. I was there last night for my '37 and
found 20 plates for 1937. 1959 should be cake.

you can get on E-bay punch in the year of license plate you want, but then
also try "license plates" (plural) for the state you want.

I am collecting 1952 and 1947 plates for any and all states. Any one have
any plates for sale? Mike Bina, Indy, "When does football start again?"

Howdy,
I've been working on getting my F-350 flatbed/ dually running, & need to find out
where I can get the emergency brake relined, or what ever would be the easiest way to
remedy this situation.

I've included the address for my web site which is about my F-350. It's got some
pictures of my truck that I'd like to share. The red truck came from Kansas, the
green one from WV. I'm sure no computer whiz, so it's pretty basic so far, but at
least it's up & running. With some editing & further adventures with the F-350, I'm
sure it'll get better.

Thanks for looking...
Mark.

Mark, I've had several E-brakes relined at a brake supply wholesaler/retailer.
I'm assumeing it's on the trans for your 1-ton. Just remove the band and take
to them. Mine was blasted or cleaned, relined, then coated with some paint-
like clearcoat just like off the shelf shoes. Seems mine was $25 to $35 at the
time. Worked great, too! "G"
