F250 came with a Spicer, F350 and bigger with either a Timken or Eaton. All of these companys still exist in one form or another. Spicer is now Dana. Hope this helps. The bond is basically a policy based on the value of the car. It insures your title against the possible "real owner" showing up with the title. After 2 years (more or less depending on state), your title is secure against claims because the state now considers yours the only title. This method is usually cheaper than finding a title company because they have to do title searches. It is the one that fits over the main shaft out of the transmission to the drive shaft and turns the small gear attached to the speedo cable? Your help is much appreciated. I have seen the gears that go on the closed torque tube transmissions at swap meets, but don't know of any reproductions available. His truck is a 53 and he cruises at highway speeds with his new rear end. -Chris MilFam3 > i have been trying to find out what rear ends would bolt in to my 56 f-100 so > i can get higher gears.mine has a stock dana with like 393 gears in it. just > to low for highway use. either a 9 inch (what years?) or something from a > car.the easyier the better for me. is there such a thing available out there? > please respond on list or e-mail me direct. thanks in advance!! > DAN > ========================================================== > $15 Amazon.com Gift Certificate FREE when you join CarClub! > Save $550 on auto expenses every year. 10% discount on gas > with every fill-up.
