Subject: FTE Pre48 - steering box

Hey guys,
Can anyone give me some information on how to disassemble the steering
box on my 46 1/2 ton. I am trying to get the motor and trans pulled
out. The pan underneath needs to come out and I am trying to remove it
without cutting it. The exhaust runs through a hole on one side and the
steering arm on the other. Can I break the steering assembly down so it
will slide through the hole in the pan? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the front grill section but all of the grill bars have been taken off
and sold. Sorry!

Gary, I also have the grille section, I still have the bars but a few are bent
inward. Dennis Carpenter has these bars in metal and stainless steel. I toured
his faciltiy in April and the place is top notch. Many of his parts are
licensed by Ford. Let me know if you need his number and I will dig the catalog
out at the house.
