Does anyone know if the front fenders on a 46 1/2 ton will work on a
1-1/2 ton?

I do not believe the fenders from the 1/2 ton truck will be large enough
for the 1- 1/2 ton. As I was working on my 47 1 ton I noticed that there
was a size difference in the fender of larger 47 parts trucks I found. I
know where there are a pair of restorable fenders in West Michigan from a
1- 1/2 ton truck if you are in that area.

I am going to order complete replacement glass for my 47 truck in the
next day or so. I have talked to a couple of local glass shops and to a
couple of places that advertise in Hemmings.

I have more confidence that the mail order glass will fit better and the
price is actually less than the local shop. Does anyone have any
experience with mail ordering glass ?

I ordered a side window for my '37 pickup from Early Ford V8
(http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.earlyford.com) last year to replace a cracked one. It came well
padded in a large box and fit fine.

Jeff-- I ordered all of my glass for my 52 F1 locally. I found a shop that
had all of the old patterns and was cheaper than having it shipped in from a
parts jobber. Actually, it was substantially cheaper to have it done
locally. If you are in the Albuquerque, NM area, I will give you the name of
the shop!!!
