I am seeking someone who has a bronco capable trailer and a suitable tow vehicle to go from Portland- threw Calif. to Ensenada.. and back... I will supply fuel.. total time 1 week.. I am also seeking possable pit support. This is essentually a 1 week mexican vacation with front row seats for the race. Doug Schultz and some friends of his came out and helped in "99 and you can check with him how they liked it. Lodging will be provided in Ensenada as a home-base for the week (as long as u don't mind sleeping bags and tires in the kitchen..) You can goto philmoulton.com for pics from the "99 race btw.. I am also seeking sponsors ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Mar 2001 09:58:49 -0800 From: phil <phil Subject: push rods have a 302 that we did a full rebuild on 2.5 yrs ago.. We just pulled the heads and are installing roller rockers.. I find that THREE of the new push rods are severely bent.. one so bad its been rubbing on the sides.. there is less then 3000 miles on the engine.. I am replacing all the push rods with a set i bid on ebay that was "supposed" to be 4x hardened.. it appears that they are just "hardened" and are not chrome moly 4130 one piece rods. they however are better then "stock" pushrods and are "black" in color not chrome like the old set was. the engine is not built for high revs in the 10k range but in the 4000-5000 range. the engine is not runing alcohol. question #1.. should i stop and get the GOOD $80. ish push rods or go with the set i have.. question #2.. WHY do pushrods bend. ------------------------------ End of perf-list Digest V2001 #28 ********************************* Serious performance help for your Ford! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts offers the following in its online store to assist you in your quest for more horsepower: -Superchips performance chips -Diablo performance chips Books: -How to Tune and Modify Ford Fuel Injection -How to Install and Use Nitrous Oxide -Step-By-Step Guide To Engine Blueprinting -Performance Modifying Ford Trucks -Super Tuning and Modifying Holley Carburetors -Super Tuning and Modifying Carter Carburetors http://www.motorhaven.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts Performance Mailing List Send posts to perf-list If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, send an email to: listar ....
