Date: Mon, 5 Feb 2001 15:31:22 GMT Subject: Re: engine mounts and bump stops Looking at the extensive number of lists you hit, you've probably got an answer already, but ... >1. solid mounts 2. chained mounts 3. are there many different "stock" >mounts for a 302.. 1) Not so good for a daily driven vehicle, it passes all the engine vibrations and such right into the frame rails ... 2) Not sure what you mean, if you mean just chain the motor down with a bolt through either end, I'd advise against it, seen too many break over time ... 3) Yes, there are a ton of different mounts. I think Energy suspension has a poly one that you might consider, othwerise, if it looks like it'll work, get a mount for a 5.0 Convertible Mustang, those are supposed to be the strongest.
