Don't know what the quality is but I've had good luck with their door seals and a convertible top, OEM quality. I've also seen ads for sheet metal in most of the mags. (With my reputation, Im sure a few of you figured me for a rollover) I assure you I am alive and well, as is Tweety. Im up to almost 500 miles on a shattered piston. With any luck the ol girl will continue running till my new motor is up and running. Should have the new motor come the end of December. And I tell ya, I got a helluva deal. I was down visiting my machinist, tellin him I was gonna be bringing down a 460 to have him build, well he told me he already had a shortblock built. Said hed take 1000 for it. I asked for more details, and I was impressed, but not cinched yet. The specs on the shortblock are as follows: .030 block, balanced with hypertectic pistons, any cam of my choosing (which is the comp 268h with lifters) and a dyna gear HV oil pump. I didnt think that was too bad, so I asked him if he had any interceptor heads. He said he wasnt sure, but pointed me at his collection of 429/460 heads and let me have a look. Well it wasnt 5 min and I found a pair, magnafluxed and ready to build, so I said "How much?" His reply blew me away, "$400 and I will build em to match the cam" I immediately said Id take it, and went to the bank to pull out a deposit. I laid $500 on it right away, and am payin the rest (1400, plus tax) on a layaway basis. Should have it paid off shortly. I tell ya I cant wait. Tweety is gonna be one of the fastest one ton trucks around. Ive already got the carb, a holley 750 DP. I'll be installing an offroad kit and the metering plate setup for easier tuning. All in all, it should run great, And I'll be sure and let yall know. Have a good one, I'll see ya out there Darrell Duggan 74 F-350 "Tweety" == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of perf-list-digest V2 #305 ******************************* +--------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - Performance ----------------+ | Send posts to perf-list....
