It seems to me I'll need to borrow the backing plates and brake assembly off a later F250. Has anybody tried this? Any suggestions? - -- Don Neighbors '54 F250 Named Grover "Any dropped tool or part will automatically fall into the most inaccessible part of the vehicle." grover == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Sep 1999 21:42:05 EDT From: WJeff43 Subject: Re: FTE Perf - Valve noise I checked the oil paths in the pushrod and the rocker arm, and they were both wide open. I didn't pull the lifter, and I'm unclear as to how the oil gets pumped up throught the lifter and on through the pushrod. In fact, anyone that can explain exactly how a hydraulic lifter works would be appreciated.
