Try Advanced Adapters. I'll look in the catalog I have tonight the most
likely have what you need to do it the only question is cost. I don't think
they have a web page but they advertise in all the major magazines.

Subject: FTE Perf - 2.5 vs 2.3

Well we were able to get the 2.5L Ranger parked near the 2.3L 'stang and
are pretty sure they are the same motor externally ... actually some of
those 2.5 parts would help the 2.3 quite a bit I think, the intake is
designed a little differently, along with possibly a larger throttle body.
Another thing that points to the motors being the same is the following
line from the FMS "online" parts store:

M-6000-A25 2.3L-2.5L CONVERSION KIT FOR 1989-97 2.3L ENGINES 40


Since there's a part number for a conversion kit, I'd guess the kit
includes rods and crank, and that's probably about it ... here's the link
