I called banks and checked into this kit for my own 88' 460. It includes=
a different filter box and a K&N filter on the intake side. A set of =
headers and a new exhaust from the cat back 3 1/2 inch single pipe and =
all of the exhaust pieces are stainless steel including the headers. Aft=
er talking with them it seems that they are building a very "top of the =
line" set of headers (3/8" machine finished flange, and stainless tubes) =
The cost is $1705 for the entire kit or $1086 for the headers by themsel=
ves.

It seems kinda pricey to me considering that you can buy all of the parts=
elsewhere for about $650. So you decide if the stainless is worth $1100=
bucks to you.

Option 2
L & L headers --- $400
Flowmaster cat back exhaust sys -- $200
K & N filter -- $40

Total -- $640 and it should get about the same preformance it just won'=
t be stainless. Add a hypertek chip to it for $200 more and it will make=
alot more.

oh boy, sounds very familiar. mine is still in the truck awaiting my
personal touch. i got REAL pissed off when i went to move the truck last
year and the truck moved 1 foot and said no more. forward, or reverse, it
was like the thing was in nutreal. mine shows no signs of metal anywhere
though. so i think we have differeing problems.

sorry bout the bad news...

Hello Folks. Well Fist off, I got my valve covers put on, they look great.
And Im not leakin oil anymore. Now the bad news. While out putting Tweety
through his paces, he twitched, then it hit. The tranny took a dump, right
there, The only forward motion I get is in 1st, drive and 2nd both make the
truck act as if the brakes were on, and it shudders REAL bad in Reverse.
(Sound familiar Sleddog?)

I don't know if you have been to their web site, but that might be the way
that I go for my exhaust/headers.

Well Tweety should be back rippin and tearin by next weekend. My brother
called around and found me a tranny for $100 that had been rebuilt about 20k
miles ago. He even loaned me the dinero! (aint family great?) This guy has
also promised to reimburse me if I have any problems with it. He is a true
Ford nut, having somewhere between 8 and 10 of the 67-79 tucks in his back
yard, plus a Lincoln Continental on an F-250 4x4 chassis, and a Monte on a
chebby chassis. Hes even got a Supercab in the middle of a build up that very
shortly is gonna be a dually running 44 Denman GroundHawgs. Anyways, I just
wanted ta let ya know that Tweety will be back, and this time, Im gonna go
easy on him.

P.S. Who am I kiddin, as soon as its moving forward under its own power,
he'll be flyin high again. Also, What area are you in Birkin? Who knows, I
may get the urge to travel!
