Thanks for the "real world" info. It looks like the happiest motors from posters
are where they took a early high compression block/head and mated it to a low
head/block to get a 9.something:1 ratio. (my Tom Monroe book puts yours at
I think my plan of action is to get any low compression carburetored 460 and

Just called about a complete 460 & tranny for $500 thats sitting "loosely" in a
Lincoln, maybe this is the one!
