According to Ford Factory, the truck 5.0L puts out 185 h.p. at 5500 rpm. the
torque figure is around 300 ft lb. at 2800 rpm. Don't forget that the trucks
have a longer runner upper manifold that the mustangs to give us the better
low end torque. If you go with say a GT40 or Cobra intake you'll lose your low
end but gain on the top end.

I have a 96 F-150 4x4 with a 5.0 and I was wondering if anyone knew how much horse power a stock 5.0 puts out. Thanks!!

the truck manifold may be able to be modified to achive the same result.
the 318/360 mopar guys have been doing it for years. removing the
intake's dividers at certain points actually (for those engines) built more
pwoer from bottom all the way up. not having a 5.0 intake to look at i am
not sure if the same mods would apply though. just food for thought.
