Its about the same as swapping a 302 for a 300. the 300 is balanced different that the 302, get a flywheel for the 302. BTW what year is the 302? around 1980 Ford changed the crank in the 302, the newer ones are balanced different than the older ones. I had to get the frame mounts from a pickup that had a 302 in it, the 6 cyl are different, and I seem to remember having to sort out somthing with the water pump, the one that came with the engine had the rad hose connection on the opposite side that most pickups did. These things eat it real fast. I see lots of great deals on Cobra Kit cars for sale in various states of completion. Lost interest, baby on the way and such. Same with the '53-56 Ford Trucks, even more so. I have a buddy in CA that makes good money picking up the '53-56 Fords and '55-57 C**vs in project state, finishes them to a nice driver level and selling for under $10k.
