He replaced the stock exhaust with a 2 chamber flowmaster muffler and a 3" pipe. The truck has the best sounding exhaust I've heard in a long time. He says it made a big improvement in the performance as well. It sounds kind of like a large cabin cruiser when it starts up. A beautiful rumble. Not as pretty a sound as a P-38 Lightning or a P-51 Mustang going around the pylons, but a close second. The truck is in good shape but the motor has about a million miles on it. What is a good source for information about changing to a 302? A friend of mine said a 302 will mate right to my transmission and bolt right in. True? Things to look out for? Split the 61-79 list into two lists to reduce traffic. 2. Add pre48 list. Voting expires in 14 days. Here we grow again! If the new lists get approved, we will ask for volunteers to administer them. Knowing it has approximately 50,000 left in it I was wondering if I could swap in the rebuilt '71 351w long block I have in my garage while keeping the fuel injection. Could I also just buy the 5.8L lower intake and use allthe other injection stuff and computer? Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Oct 1998 21:05:58 EDT From: WJeff43 Subject: Re: FTE Perf - ADMIN: 61-79 list split vote I vote yes to both.
