Are you referring to the trans kickdown? If so, I've had no problems with my
Edelbrock 750, which uses the rod, not the cable. I did have to add a return
spring.

In May on the 61-79 list there was a thread about getting the kickdown to
work on an
Edelbrock 4v. I searched the archives and didn't find a conclusion on the
subject. Is there anybody out there that has done this and made it work?
I'm using it on a 390 in a 1967, so the kickdown is a solid rod, not the
cable. Should I expect problems getting it to work? Is the E-brock adapter
a waste of money?

I'm trying to plan ahead for the day I drop the motor in. I don't want to
be dinking around when I should be driving it.

Thanks again for any ideas,

Drew

got a paxton 300 pump, and regulater, filter, etc.

couldn't afford first or second choices, the BG 400 pump being 1st choice,
and the paxton 400 being second. the paxton claims enough flow for 850 hp,
and i am assuming that it can feed more when not used in a drag racing
situation.

i also got a fuel pressure gauge to plumb into the regulater and as long as
i see no pressure drop at WFO down the track i guess i'll be alright. i'd
sure hate to go lean and blow piston chumks out the headers into the crowd.

just starting engine assembly now too. have to make brackets and still get
a few AN fittings for the fuel system. put engine/drivetrain into truck,
and swap some parts like ignition and valvecovers from 77 to new pulltruck
and i should be ready to rock-n-roll!

plainfield pulls are july 23-24. i hope to be running by then, with an oil
change and some running time under the hood. let er rip!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, mass air is the only game in
town for'89 up. Trucks may have gone over later, but by '94 mass air should
be there. See if there isn't
a senser in the air intake just before the throttle plate. I can't say that
I've looked but dose anyone
actualy make cams for a 300?
