Thanks;Steve == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Aug 1998 00:06:51 EDT From: Trs2000 Subject: FTE Perf - Interesting AC idea? I have a friend with an 84 ch**y (couldn't bear to say the word) with an ac unit in the back. The unit is mounted on the roof with lines going to the front of the vehicle. I think it's electric powered by its own motor. If it works wouldn't this be a pretty cool way to convert my 66 f100 to ac by just running an evaporator and condenser etc without the hassle of finding the right bracket setup. Also, It wouldn't rob horses..... Any thoughts? You can turn in the rear blower but to get any AC effect you need to kick on the regular AC also. I know...I've got the dual AC setup on my 82 Suburban! >P.S. Don't kill me for owning a Sub! I own 3 Fords including a 75 F100 and if Ford made a Suburban type vehicle I'd own one (They are soon, right?) I've seen the aftermarket Centurion Suburban-clone conversions and would love to own one! P.S. saw a 64 galaxie 2 door on the side of the road for sale....289 automatic, black, $4500 OBO. Wish it was a 390 4 speed! == "2 + 2 = 5 for sufficiently large values of 2" John Pajak Lexington Park, Maryland Check out our Oldsmobiles and more at http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://members.tripod.com/~JSPajak _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of perf-list-digest V1 #54 ****************************** +--------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - Performance ----------------+ | Send posts to perf-list To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
