Joel, first question, did this happen before or after you put the spacer in there
?

>the problem is detonation above 2500-2700 rpm
>in 3 and 4th gear. NOT in 2nd i can floor it with the secondaries
>opened in 2nd up to 4500rpm with no detonation
>but when the secondaries open in 3rd or 4th around 2500-2700 rpm
>it has a pinging sound(yes i am sure it is a pinging sound)

This is 'cause you're going much faster and working the motor harder with the
higher gears ...

>it has NO egr or computer stuff on it just, fuel-fire-air-electricity

>also i have richened the jets in the secondaries by 1jet up.
>should i go to about 2or3 jets up.
>also the initial timiing is 10 BTDC and the total is only 34.

>i have been told that this engine(8.2:1 or 8.5:1) should be able to run 36
- 40 degrees total timing, whats wrong. the engine only has 2500 miles on it
and my old engine did this too.

>please can i get some suggestions?

You pulled the EGR off, and upped the jet size, but have you checked to really
be sure that's enough ? If you lean it out too much you will get the pinging
problem you describe ... that is a fairly low compression and should be able
to run lots of advance based on pre-ignition, but if its some other cause, then
it doesn't matter what the timing is ... what sort of temps is the motor runnin
at ? What thermostat,etc....
